JuE’s unconventional business background from Commodities Trading, where she led a $2.5 billion trading portfolio with trading reports spanning global time zones and working with diverse cultures, to working with a start-up right at the beginning of the economic melt- down in 2008 are key contributing factors to her success.
How/why did you get into your space?
I was a commodity trader in Forex and Crude oil for for twelve years before switching to Beauty in the last twenty years. Beauty is a great place to be in; consumers will trade up and down but never out of beauty.
What role do you play in the tech ecosystem and why is that role important?
I am in the Brand/Manufacturer space and this is where much of the innovation gets introduced into the beauty landscape.
How has technology impacted your industry and why is this important?
Technology helps me analyze my business and my customers needs and stay in front of them by giving them experiences that they not only need but want as well.
What do you believe is the most exciting tech trend for 2019 (as it relates to your industry)?
Machine learning through AI and AR.

Mindy Grossman from WW International. She is an inspirational leader with tech savvy know how and a high EQ that gets people and her team to deliver more than they thought possible of themselves.
What advice would you give for someone who wants to get into tech?
Know what your customers want and need before they even know what it is.
Leapfrog your competition and know what your customers want and need before they even know what it is.
Always put the brand before yourself and you will do right by everyone every time.
